Thanks for your interest in my program my name is Monica I have a Bachelors in Education concentration in Early Childhood Education from the Pontifical Catholic University in Perú my home country. In the city of Lima Perú, I worked for seven years in prestigious international and International Baccalaureate Organization Schools (IBO), including Euroamerican College, Abraham Lincoln School and Peruvian British School educational opportunities where I learned and meet different families from all around the world.
On the year 2012 I traveled to North Carolina to teach Spanish in Kindergarten for Johnston County Public Schools and on 2014 I worked for a well-known Spanish Immersion Preschool in the Triangle for five years.
I hold credentials in Early Childhood Education by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education. A Level III Administration Certification in Early Childhood and the North Carolina Early Educators Certification Level 12 for Early Childhood and School Age.
I have an Orientation Certificate in Primary Education from Southwest Institute of Montessori Studies in Mesa Arizona (AMI). CPR training and experience teaching English and Spanish as a second or foreign language.
I have a Reading Certificate in Early Childhood Education (AMS) and I am currently working in my MACTE Certificate in Primary Education from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies. And a Masters Degree in Montessori Leadership with Sarasota University.
I have been a member of The Society for Research in Child Development, and I am a current member of the American Montessori Society. (AMS) and the Montessori Association of North Carolina.
I have also a passion for running and that is why I am a current member of the North Carolina Road Runners Club and the New York Road Runners. I firmly believe in the connection between mind and body, and how important is this influence in children development.
